Surface drain/gulley collapsed causing flooding
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 14:41, Thu 26 December 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
This drain, located within the pavement opposite the pond in W. Hagbourne, has been compressed to road level rendering it useless as a drain. It has been in this condition unreported for several months. However, the recent rain has highlighted the drainage issue. The cause - damage by vehicles cutting the corner by driving over the pavement - is the same as when it needed repair 2 years ago. A permanent solution to prevent vehicles mounting the pavement, is required. This would not only protect the drain cover and alleviate the flooding, but also the safety of pedestrians using the pavement.
