Incorrect signage leading into traffic calming chicane Bampton bound
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 19:06, Mon 23 December 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
On the Bampton bound entry to the traffic calming chicane, there is no signage to inform that oncoming traffic has priority, just two consecutive single lane traffic signs. The correct Buckland bound sign is present confirming priority. I have experienced two near misses in the space of a week as a result.
Just to add - Google maps shows the correct sign in a damaged state. So assume that it has been repaired/replaced with the incorrect signage.

Very dangerous. Traffic heading North into Bampton have no idea who has priority. Traffic heading South out of Bampton are informed that they have priority. Almost totalled my car today when a car heading into Bampton decided to take priority. Fix urgently before someone gets killed.
