Resurfacing of Frax Close some time ago changed the natural water flow to a drain -hence extensive flooding when it rains
Reported in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 20:00, Sun 22 December 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
The extensive flooding completely covers the pavement making it impassable on foot. If/when frosts follow heavy rain it becomes a skating rink which is extremely hazardous to pedestrians seeking access to the church and Kingston Bagpuize House. An earlier reporting of this problem elicited a reply that the council is not responsible but since Frax Close is a public highway then presumably the pavement which adjoins is as well. The persistent flooding is destroying the tarmac surface beneath and it is just a matter of time before someone trips in the consequent potholes or slips/falls on any ice that has formed. The attached images give a clear indication of the extent of the problem. Please have someone look into it!

Having sent images showing the extent of the flooding, these two show what lies beneath the water - ankle-snapping potholes and muddy slurry! Not what is needed on a pavement which must be the responsibility of OCC. This is the only pedestrian access to the village church. Action is needed before someone falls.
