Flooding on B4030 Caulcott
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 13:54, Sat 21 December 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
Regular flooding on the B4030 at Caulcott. My house was floored a few weeks ago because of this, I now have sandbags at my doors. The drain under the road is blocked or is now not big enough to take the water. The flow of the Gallus Brook has increased in the passed years, this is probably due to the new houses being built at Heyford Park. The builders have channelled the surface water from the new houses into this small brook. The surface of water on the B4030 is dangerous for drivers especially at night when it is not easily seen and also vehicles do not keep to the speed limit.

Thank you for your report. Ditches on both side need to be maintained by land owners. Inlet to the culver under road on Hill View House side was blocked. Hand dig to clear some debris and silt and allow water to run freely through.
