Mill Street, Witney

Can you please assess the possibility of adding vehicle sensing speed limit signs on Mill Street just outside Woodford Mill near the pedestrian crossing/bottom of the hill. I see vehicles driving well in excess of 30mph, and up to 50mph at night. The combination of the hill, the pedestrian crossing and a bend in the road all combined mean there is a risk to pedestrians both on the pavement and crossing, as well as vehicles pulling out of side streets. This easy to install visual deterrent is a proven, safe and effective reminder to drivers.

Please note that this type of "warning" sign can be used as a challenge: some stupid drivers take it turn to see how high/fast a reading they can get against one another. So "the solution" becomes "the problem".

There are stupid drivers everywhere, I would assume that most drivers will slow down not speed up when they see that sort of sign ? What do you suggest - a speed camera, more signs or something else ?
