Road closed No proper highways management
Reported in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 09:01, Wed 11 December 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
Road closed due to collapsed wall. No proper traffic management in place. No effective diversion signs (one at Burford has blown over). Can’t this be managed with traffic lights and one lane closure? Traffic diverting up Plum Lane and Five Ways which is not suitable for type and amount of vehicles. Roadside becoming scuffed and slippery posing further hazard to ALL road users and pedestrians in that area. No idea provided of how long this will continue to encourage drivers/hauliers to plan a better route.

I notice there are other similar posts about the same issue on here. One posted the day of the incident and 4 days later is still Under Investigation. I think the genuine concerns of local people should be taken more seriously. Other than a generic response stating post had been forwarded to the council I can see nothing else appears to have been done about addressing this issue.

And still the HGVs keep coming as still no earlier diversion. Only choice now is back up on main road near blind bend or divert down the weight restricted road. Come on OCC surely you can do better than this?!
