It would appear that the sensors on Wallingford Bridge are not working.
Reported in the Traffic Lights (permanent only) category by Graeme Rolfe at 16:10, Sat 7 December 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
The sensors on the bridge are supposed to prevent the traffic lights from changing and, therefore, allowing vehicles to move onto the bridge from the opposite direction if the bridge is not clear of vehicles. This works perfectly at the bridge at Culham, so I can only assume that there is a problem with the sensors at Wallingford Bridge.
Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council regarding Wallingford Bridge traffic signal junction. We have checked the junctions operation and found it working as intended without any faults. We will continue to monitor the junctions operation in case of intermittent fault. .
