I have experienced a number of near misses at the Cherwell Drive/Copse Lane/Headley Way junction which is linked to the Marsh Lane junction. Firstly I have experienced 5 near misses when I travelled N/W from the Headley Way left hand lane at the Marston Road junction heading towards Summertown from Copse Lane. When the lights go green, traffic travelling from Marsh Lane & then turning right into Marston Road is travelling at speed & thinks it has right of way, creating the dangerous conflict. Most of the near misses have been around 10.30 on Friday mornings. Secondly the planters between the service road & Cherwell Drive at the Coose Lane junction are incorrectly positioned and block visibility for traffic both when turning out of Copse Lane and also when turning from the service road. Could you please action as a matter of urgency.
Thank you for recently contacting Oxfordshire County Council regarding the Cherwell Drive / Headley way traffic signal junction. We will carry out investigations and check the operation of the signals.
