Raised ironworks/road subsidence

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:15, Wednesday 4 December 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

This stretch of road is in appalling condition and the worst part is deteriorating after the recent wet weather. I know this has been reported before (several times) and dismissed by OCC but it can't be ignored for much longer. Traffic drives on the wrong side of the road to avoid it and an accident will happen soon. The surface is also breaking up as well as being very unlevel, so the edge of the manhole is exposed. As people are driving home in the dark they are more likely to damage their cars which will result in damage claims so it is a very poor policy to let roads get into such bad condition.

  • There are two areas of dreadful road surface between the edge of Wantage and the Challow cricket club turn. They are getting worse day by day.
