Damaged roads

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:21, Monday 2 December 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

The road has recently had some gullies dug into it to allow water to drain into the ditch, but the road has been damaged and has become dangerous to cycle and walk the road during the dark. This is especially noticeable where the " save our greenbelt" signs are positioned.

  • Thank you for your report. The issue here is that the verge has been overrun, over time, which has exposed the edge of the carriageway and has caused the edge to be slowly broken away where the grips are. In my opinion, there was no damaged caused by the grip works, but because the grips have been dug, it has exposed the damaged edge. We have marked up the bad areas to be patched hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Regards
