Dangerous changes on Green Road Roundabout
Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 15:28, Saturday 30 November 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
It's incomprehensible why the normative driving expectations on Headington roundabout were changed so that instead of, as in the case of most roundabouts, where the left lane will lead left and straight on, the middle lane straight on and right, and the right hand lane lead right round the roundabout, the middle and left lane read Barton, leading to near-crashes and just-misses on a daily basis. There is no logic to the changes that were made, and no amount of signing is going to change the instinctive behaviour that most drivers have when it comes to roundabouts. The County Council Highways division needs to review this urgently and rectify their incomprehensible changes as soon as possible.
