Outside of the house at 41 Laburnum road and in front of this house the grass verge has been damaged by the neighbour's car (43 Laburnum rd) being systematically parked overnight on the grass verge and partially on the pavement. Causing some slipping and difficulty putting out the dustbins in a place that does not disturb traffic out of 41 Laburnum rd. It also unclear as to who has 1. the right to park a car on the grass verge strip in front of 41 Laburnum rd. And 2) who is responsible for maintaining the grass strip verge in good condition (the owner of 41 Laburnum rd) or the County Council??

  • Thank you for your enquiry. With regard to your question as to, who owns and maintains this verge, it is Oxfordshire County Council. After visiting the site pinpointed, however, see photos, this report has been closed, due to budgetary constraints and also that, the damage you report, on the verge, by the footpath, unfortunately, doesn't meet our current intervention criteria, so I cannot arrange a proper repair. We will continue to monitor this during our routine inspections.
