Street lamp out

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 21:22, Sat 23 November 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

The lamppost down the alleyway off of Lambrick Way leading to Chanellor Close (immediately to your left as you pull into Lambrick Way) has not been working for a number of years (about 3)

This is super dangerous as the alleyway is pitch black and surrounded by trees.

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

  • Good morning,

I went and had a look at the street light in the day light and took the attached pictures.

I couldn’t see the map you attached however I can confirm the street light number is 7.

Let me know if you need anything further.

  • Ref:00362383 Thank you for your report, OCC are now responding to out of lights within the contracted timescales of attending site within 7 days for repairs. If there is a cable fault this will be passed to the Electricity company to repair and will take longer, it will depend on the resources which the District Service Operator has. Thank you
