HGVs using residential roads in Woodcote to access chipping depot on Long Toll

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:44, Thu 21 November 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Large HGVs (Hazel and Jeffries) are using the narrow residential roads as a shortcut to their chipping depot on Long toll. The lorries start at 6am and run most of the day. Roads in Woodcote require a 7.5 tonne weight restriction to prevent this.

  • Thank you for your report. We would suggest that an initial approach is made to your Parish Council so that due consideration can be given towards its priority within the local area and so that the proposal can be endorsed and promoted locally. Parish Councils are also well placed to secure the necessary financial cost to such a scheme.
