Speed humps requesting
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 11:22, Thu 21 November 2019

This road is in desperate need of speed humps. Not only did I lose my cat yesterday to a car hitting her we have lost two other cats to this road, including other peoples. It is purely down to the speed the cars take around the corner and down this road. Its always been a problem on this road. We have children in the area too. But I am sick of careless drivers taking out cats. I understand sometimes you just don't know. But if the speed is reduced it may be that next time it could save a life

Thank you for your enquiry and I am sorry to hear about your cat. The introduction of traffic calming would need to be advertised and consulted on following a feasibility study by traffic engineers. Road humps are not always popular with residents as they create noise and can cause vibration to adjacent properties so we would normally only consider such a proposal at the request of local councillors. In the first instance I would suggest that you report your concerns to your local representatives.
