Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 3 minutes later
When coming out of the junction of Redpits farm which is located on a tight bend you cant see the oncoming traffic on the B481 coming from Park corner on the left , hence making it dangerous when you pull out onto the road. Therefore a mirror would be greatly appreciated if it could be attached to the telegraph pole opposite the junction of Redpits Farm.

Thank you for your report. The county do not provide or support the use of road mirrors on the highway. The image they provide can be misleading in terms of vehicle speed and distance giving drivers a false sense of security, potentially leading to vehicles emerging injudiciously. They are prone to vandalism, fogging in poor atmospheric conditions and glare from the sun or car headlights. If however permission is granted by a landowner adjacent to but off the highway and therefore outside the jurisdiction of the County, a suitable post and mirror may be erected.
The County could accept no responsibility for a mirror so erected.
