Dangerous hole in pavement
Reported in the Pavements category anonymously at 15:45, Tuesday 19 November 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
The tarmac surrounding this drain cover has collapsed/broken so there is now a significant gap around the drain cover that is a real trip hazard, especially as lots of school children and parents walk this way to and from school, plus we have no street lights here so this will be dangerous in the dark evenings for anyone walking. I took this pic last week and kept forgetting to report it, but looking at it today it's got worse and needs urgent attention before someone breaks their ankle on it (didn't have phone with me today to take updated pic). (This same thing happened about a year ago and the tarmac filler that was put in then has all come loose and collapsed, needs urgent replacing and proper sealing. Last time it wasn't sealed and so here we are a year on with the same problem). Thanks.

The drain cover has now become loose as you can see in the updated pics and it is now filled with water. Initially the cover was loose but sat on top of drain hole, but now it's come off completely as you can see and there is just the gaping hole in the pavement. It's right by the entrance to Nash Lane in the middle of the pavement and is a real hazard as most parents with children walk this way to school. We also have no street lights so this is very hazardous in the dark. As far as I can see so far this has not yet been marked up for repair. It really does need urgent attention before someone breaks their ankle on it. Thanks.
