Dangerous grassy path with concealed dips
Reported in the Pavements category anonymously at 14:36, Monday 18 November 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
The stretch of grassy path between the new builds on Ham Road (Ickleton Road end) and Locks Lane is very uneven and has several great holes (concealed by grass) near the grit bin on the corner.
For my children and disabled mother to get safely into town, they have to walk along this stretch.
They could of course, cross the road from our house, walk ten yards up to Hamfield, then cross back over to Locks Lane, but there are often cars parked in front of our house which make this dangerous - and it’s near impossible for my mother with her disability scooter given the speeds of lorries and cars on that stretch (despite the 30 mph limit)
It wouldn’t be so bad if the grass path was even and well maintained, but it isn’t.
It would be much safer if a stretch of pavement could be laid. I hope the council will come to a decision before someone breaks a leg in one of the holes.
