There are two grids, one each side of Shirvells Hill where it meets Goring Road. They are linked under the road and then the drain crosses under Goring road to drain away down the ditch beside Elvendon Lane. The grid under the hedge outside the house is overgrown and covered in mud and other debris which is preventing the road draining, causing a flood across the road in wet weather. The road surface is also badly worn because the build up of gravel washed down leaves a loose surface for traffic accelerating out of the junction into Goring Road
