Reference: Numerous blocked drains and continual flooding along Oxford Road Kidlington, and into the Catholic school carpark and the public footpath leading to it in both directions - Post Code OX5 1EA – 17th November 2019. Five of the six drains on the main road heading towards Oxford and which is on a slight incline allows water to run freely onto the service road and from there down the narrow road that runs past the Catholic church and leads to the school car park, where another drain is blocked and which I reported to the Highways Agency over three years ago, and which was pointedly ignored. The condition is made far worse by the guttering at the side of the barbers shop at Oxford House being continually blocked by undergrowth which acts as a waterfall when it rains, the drainpipe which should be fed from that gutter is also broken and would be ineffective if the water ever reached it, also a long standing problem. The water which has nowhere to run fills the playground of the Catholic school, runs down the inside fence and floods a public footpath which has a right hand and an immediate left hand dog leg, this dog leg floods to four inches deep which requires parents and children attending the school to wade through it. When the water subsides it leave a thick greasy gunge behind which is dangerous, especially as the footpath is a main route to the main road for the elderly as the lower end of the footpath is home to a couple of street filled with retirement bungalows. I have reported this to Cherwell District Council who abdicate all responsibility and claim it is the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council. Another major cause for concern is with colder weath
