Strip-drain outside 48 Harcourt Road in need of unblocking
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 16:44, Tue 12 November 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
There is a strip-drain on the path outside 48 Harcourt Road that is in desperate need of unblocking. Every time it rains, there is an excess of water accumulating on the path obstructing access to pedestrians. Apparently this is a Council matter and it has been reported but nothing has been done and the path looks terrible in the aftermath. Whilst there has been a community effort to clear this, it is a perpetual problem that is in need of servicing.

The strip drain on the path does not appear to have been unblocked. Perhaps the drain on the road by it has been but, as you can see from the pictures attached there is significant mud embedded into the overflow drains on the path that is spreading sludge over the pavement. Despite the community effort to clear the path of detritus, the recurring rainfall and leaves falling poses a hazard to pedestrians as it is slippery and muddy underfoot. Apparently this has been reported numerous times to the Council and nothing has yet been done. Unblocking these overflow drains will make a marked improvement to conditions on the path.

This has been reported numerous times and still something is yet to be done about it. It is posing a hazard to pedestrians due to the detritus that continually collects following repeated surface clearance. It would merit clearing as soon as possible to prevent the roadside drain from being blocked once again, which it is believed was cleared in response to this request.

Re-reported it as it dropped off the list as being actioned. Still awaiting servicing of the drains.
