Blocked drain in road causing standing water and flooding to adjacent property
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 18:52, Mon 11 November 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
This is a recurring problem that has not yet been fixed despite two attempts to clear. It needs clearing much deeper than has been done as there is always a residual blockage of silt and muck a little below drain level which allows the drain to overflow as soon as there is heavy rain. As soon as that happens it floods the basement of our property causing damage to items stored there. .

This drain is still blocked with heavy silt and has been spilling over constantly over the winter months causing water to come up through the floor of No 7 and surface water to run down the lane. The previous efforts to sort it have not provided a long term solution which suggests there is a large blockage elsewhere in the system.

The overflow from the blocked drain is particularly bad at the moment, particularly with the heavy rain. This matter was first reported in November 2019, isn't it about time you fixed it!!!!
