The Horse Chestnut tree growing near the bench in this location appears to have canker, one of our Parish Councillors has just checked it and feels it should be looked at by a qualified person.

  • Thank you for your report. We have been out to site and visited the tree that is described in your inquiry. Our inspector found that while the tree did appear to show evidence of having suffered from bleeding canker of horse chestnut in the past, on inspection there were no significant defects observed. The tree will be retained on our cyclical parish inspection program. Should you observe a deterioration of the trees condition, please do get in touch.
