With the A34 northbound closed for bridge repairs, I was astonished to find that the traffic lights on the Roundabouts at Wolvercote, Cutteslowe and Green Road were all operating this afternoon as if it were a Monday - Friday rush hour, allowing only 8 cars through at a time whilst there were no queues at all coming out of Oxford. This seems ridiculous and caused long unecesary queues before all 3 sets of lights, added 30 minutes to my journey home..

Traffic lights not appropriately phased for the day/ time, traffic conditions
Thank you for recently contacting Oxfordshire County Council regarding the Wolvercote and Cutteslowe traffic signals. Both junctions run an adaptive mode of opperation. Unfortunately the signals would have been operating at well over capacity levels due to the diversion resulting in the queues which you observed.
State changed to: Investigation complete
