Persistent and serious flooding

Whenever there is any rain this stretch of road floods persistently and seriously. There is no working drainage along the road and it is a considerable safety issue given the amount of silt that ends on the pavements and road surface. It increases the risks of people slipping and injuring themselves which the highways agency would be held legally responsible for in any litigation that is brought; and it increases the risk of car on car accidents or car on pedestrian accidents as the grip on the road surfaces is exceptionally poor due to the amount of silt left there following flooding. Additionally road users find it hilarious to drive at speed through this water and I have seen colleagues and pedestrians soaked as a result of such behaviour on more than one occasion. It is not acceptable at all. The problem has been ongoing for the last three years to the best of my knowledge and has never been addressed.
