Raised curb after bend juts out too much causing collision with
Reported in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 17:27, Sat 2 November 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
I was travelling through the village on Thursday 1st November and collided with this raised curb just after the pond. The pavement appears to have been renewed on a very narrow passageway but unfortunately protrudes too much into the road when approaching from the east. This means evasive action is required to avoid it especially when vision is impaired. I suffered a ripped tyre which needed replacing. According to residents this pavement has caused many incidents recently including a severe accident whereby the driver had to be rescued! I would recommend the pavement is adjusted so it tapers from the pond side and vehicles can then avoid collisions with it?

Dear sir/madam
I'v still not heard back from anyone from the council so somewhat disappointed. This pavement is a serious issue as quite a number of incidents have happened since it was reinstated. The parish council, who helped implement this hazard appear to be in denial that it is an issue and not taking any responsibility?! Also, can I make a claim against the council for a new tyre?
