Lampnot working at junction of West Ave and South Ave, Abingdon.

Reported in the Street lighting category by Martin Buckland at 21:55, Wednesday 30 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

West Avenue is 130 metres long. There are 5 streetlights along it, three are not working and all are at the junctions with North and South Avenues. The two at the North Avenue end have been repeatedly reported, the one at the South Avenue end has failed this evening. There are now only two lights working in the street and as the failed ones are at junctions they cause particular problems to pedestrians as the junctions are completely dark. Can these three lights all be replaced with LEDs or at least with sodium as matter of great urgency please?

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.
