The resurfacing work began last night, according to your letter : "the work is programmed so that the noisier activities will be completed by 23.00hrs" but I can assure you that at 12.20am the machine compressing the freshly laid tarmac layer was creating unbelievably loud noise ! so much so that glassware was tinkling in the cupboards / pictures shaking on the walls / the whole floor vibrating underfoot - I appreciate the work needs to be done and I'm sure you've done your best to schedule it at the least worst time, but the very very loud noise did go on well past midnight last night .... I hope that's not going to be the case for the whole 5 x nights
