Traffic lights on the A417 again, near Featherbed Lane causing long delays AGAIN
Reported in the Current Roadworks - live information category anonymously at 21:43, Wed 23 October 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
Yet again some imbecile from OCC has granted BT Openreach permission to dig up the road on the A417 between East Hendred & Rowstock WITHOUT instructing them to manually control the traffic lights at peak times to minimise delays for long suffering motorists commuting on this stretch of road. Time and time again this ALWAYS happens. 5 or 6 cars queuing one direction, while a queue of a couple of miles the other direction.
I know I’m wasting my time reporting this because by the time OCC get around to actioning this, the workmen will have packed up and gone.
Having commuted this road for over 30 years now, it really is about time OCC woke up and smelt the coffee. It’s not as if this is the first complaint about this!!! It happens every damn time!!! And yes, I am peed off about it.
Now ONCE AND FOR ALL pull your ruddy fingers out and DO something about it!!!

I've been asked to give an update on this, but to be honest, I'll do exactly the same as OCC and will do nothing. This was being investigated by OCC back on the 23rd Oct, and nothing since then. What a complete and utter waste of cyberspace this website really is. It's a complete joke.
