Footpath behind deanfield road impassable without wellies

Reported in the Pavements category anonymously at 16:30, Fri 18 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

After decent rainfall, the footpath behind deanfield road gets extremely boggy and full of large puddles, making it difficult to walk without boots. Please add some shale or substance to improve the stability underfoot. Thanks

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Due to current weather events we have issues with flooding all over the county. If you feel your property is at risk, please contact the emergency services or contact our call centre on 0345 310 11 11 to request sandbags. If this road is impassable, please let the call centre staff know and we can get the road closed or erect flood boards. Once the water has dispersed, we will take a look at the drainage but often it is the volume of water that causes the issue. We will monitor this area on our routine inspections. Regards
