I am a Parish Councillor for Fyfield and Tubney and I have been approached by a resident regarding problems in Netherton Lane. His house is in a low lying area and is in danger of flooding. There is a brook (Hollow brook) running next to his property that is under increasing pressure from nearby housing developments and blocked drains. The ditches along the lane are also in a poor state and are struggling to cope with the amount of water running down the hill from Fyfield. There is a dangerous drop into part of the ditch that is about 5ft deep and about 1ft from the edge of the road. If a vehicle moved over to allow traffic coming the other way it could cause it serious damage. There is also a collapsed manhole cover that is shaking his house when traffic hits it. The above issues obviously need urgent attention and if you would like a site visit I would be happy to meet with you and discuss. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to hearing from you. Jonathan Greaves 07957 822652
