Gutter clearance adjacent to three cottages in Thame Road.

Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 17:32, Tuesday 15 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

The kerb stones have a series of vertical holes leading into the kerb drainage system and they are being obstucted by the weeds etc in the gutter. The entrance to "The Cottage" has horizontal holes that are completely blocked. In view of the constant flooding that occurs along this section of Thame Road urgent action is required to clear these areas.

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. The gully issue/blockage will be included in our forthcoming gully cleansing programme. As there are limited budget we have to prioritise high flood risk areas. We will continue to monitor this on our routine inspections. Regards

  • I note that you will give priority to flooding areas. I attach three photos of floods that occurred in 2018. Prior to this we have been flooded twice with the last one resulting in damage of approximately £ 20,00 plus. I trust this will qualify me for priority.
