Trees overhaning the footpath and road
Reported in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 11:09, Tue 15 October 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
Trees are causing an obstruction at this location that are not the owner 106 Farm Roads responsibility.
The trees are so low that you have to duck under them and also hang out into the road causing an obstruction to cars. There is also a risk to pedestrians eyes, particularly children who attend Dunmore School.
Could these be pruned back or removed as soon as possible.
Please see the reply below, to my first attempt to report this. --------------------------------------- Dear Mr Clarke,
Thank you for your email which I forwarded to our Parks Department. They have provided the following information, which I hope you find helpful: Looking at the photographs it appears that the growth is coming from behind the fences on the stream banks and according to our records the land on the east side of the stream is Oxfordshire County Council adopted and on the west side No 106 owns up to the fence. This makes Oxfordshire County Council riparian owner of the east bank and No 106 riparian owner of the west bank so either responsible for the trees overhanging depending on which bank they are growing. In conclusion, the trees are either the responsibility of 106 Farm Road or Oxfordshire County Council, therefore the District Council would not be involved in dealing with the trees. If the responsibility lies with Oxfordshire County Council, this can be reported using the following link to ‘fix my street’ Kind regards, Rachel Mazonowicz Customer Service Officer Planning Vale of White Horse District Council Customer service: 01235 422600 ----------------------------------------- The owner of number 106 will report this to you also.
