Drain clearing still awaited from 2018
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 01:06, Tue 15 October 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
Reported 2018. OCC said it would be done in 2019. In August OCC said it was about to be done. But recent rains have demonstrated that the water still doesn’t drain & all street drains on Western side of the road are blocked. This led to flooding down the road and onto Eynsham Road this week.

Council staff member came to investigate, just looked at the drains and agreed there was a problem. They’ve been saying the same thing for a year now & that it would be cleared out this year.

Leaves on road and pavement need to be cleared as they are a slip hazard. Grit bins need refilling for winter. In addition we have running water on parts of Third Acre Rise resulting in icy patches on the road and the need for constant gritting .

Council officer visited. Agreed there was a problem & the drains were overflowing due to blockages. Also agreed that would lead to flooding on Eynsham Road. Didn’t give a date when clearing would be done. Was told it would be programmed for clearing in 2019.
