Cars losing control and crashing through Station Fence line

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:45, Mon 14 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

Cars are coming too fast down Beggarsbush Hill and keep losing control and crashing through the Station Fence line. This is the 3rd incident this year. Please can we request that additional tight corner and slow down signs are installed with the addition of rumble strips on the road to slow cars down.

  • This 'problem' is STILL ongoing, many mo tha after the original fault. Ir appears its a blame culture between OCC and RAF Benson Hard FM as to whom is responsible for what. RAF Benson is responsible for the repair/replacement of the broken streetlamp, which is affecting ALL the other streetlights on this stretch of road. Howevee, Benson will nor repair the lights until OCC fix the drainage, sharp bend signs, rumble strips or whatever traffic calming measures are agreed. Of note, it took 2.5 years fir Benson to repair the lights further down Clay Lane, from my original request, so its a game of stalemate until all parties agree to repair the roads, drainage, lights andctraffic calmi g all together from what appears is a cash strapped RAF and OCC. I feel I'll never see the repair in my time at Benson.
