Flooding on Brashfield Road, Bicester

Severe flooding at end of Brashfield road, at the junction of Buckingham road. Concerned about soap foam which could be from possible broken sewer, causing a health hazard. Water from rainfall should have dispersed by now.

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. The gully issue/blockage will be included in our forthcoming gully cleansing programme. As there are limited budget we have to prioritise high flood risk areas. Sometimes due to the volume of water pooling accrues even when drain itself is not blocked, Oxfordshire as a whole suffers from this issue and this takes time to flow away. If there is pooling it does not mean there is a flood risk or threat to property and there for this will not be treated as High risk at this time. We will continue to monitor this on our routine inspections. Regards.
