A number of blocked road storm drains causing flooding.

Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 17:32, Friday 11 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

The storms on Friday 11th October caused a flooding problem from The Green into West End, down through Johnston's Way and into William Bliss Avenue. This is exactly the same problem as June of last year when I had water ingress into my house. On that occasion the Fire Service attended and reported that all of the storm drains along these roads and pathways were blocked causing rain water to funnel from one storm drain to another directly into the back of my house. You responded quickly to my report at that time and claimed the problem was "fixed".On this occasion we were lucky and the torrent of water passed by the side of the houses without entering. I still feel this is a problem that can be eradicated with reasonable and regular maintenance of these drains which I would guess have not been touched since June of last year.
