Uneven/sunken/waterlogged section of pavement

There has long been an issue with the pavement outside 161 Kynaston Road. It is particularly uneven, and appears sunken, which means it is always one big puddle in wet weather. I walk past here frequently, and usually walk in the road for this section to avoid it. The pavement in the street has just been resurfaced, but unfortunately this section has not been repaired sufficiently so water still collects here. It is probably not helped by the fact that it is half covered by a large hedge, although the bottom of this appears to have been trimmed to allow the resurfacing. I know issues like this are probably not a priority, but as it was being resurfaced, some attempt could have been made to fix this.
I would also like to note that many utility covers, particularly for water meters, are now quite recessed compared to the pavement in this street, and could present a trip hazard.

Thank you for your report. I have made the Highways and Drainage team aware of the ponding issue for them to assess. Slurry sealing does not usually cause trip hazards, do you have any specific locations? As a rough guide a 20mm depth is a potential trip site. I will get a letter sent to 161 requesting they have the hedge cut back. This report is now closed.
