Street light on the Baptist Chapel

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 12:24, Wednesday 9 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

My son reported the light on the Baptist Chapel at the beginning of the year as not working. It was looked at and reported back to him as been repaired, which it wasn't. I reported it during the summer and asked whether it could be repaired before the darker nights. We noticed that someone looked at it shortly after my report and then we saw someone looking at the cable about 6 weeks ago, but still the light is not working. It is very dark along this street with out the light and last winter resident's were having to use torches to walk along the street. We do feel rather vulnerable with out the light in use. Please could this be repaired soon.

  • Ref:359007 Thank you for your report, OCC are now responding to out of lights within the contracted timescales of attending site within 7 days for repairs. If there is a cable fault this will be passed to the Electricity company to repair and will take longer, it will depend on the resources which the District Service Operator has. Thank you
