Dangerous lack of sight line turning out of Cold Harbour onto the B471

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:43, Tue 8 October 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Hello there, We recently moved to Cold Harbour, Goring Heath. The lane that leads out of Cold Harbour onto that B471 to pangbourne/woodcote has a restricted sight line to the right, in the direction of Whitchurch/pangbourne, due to a large tree. Cars come whizzing along at 50 miles an hour and are nearly on top of you before you see them. It's a really dangerous turning. To avoid someone getting killed, the tree that's blocking the view of oncoming traffic needs chopping down. Alternatively a convex mirror could be placed strategically along the road to increase visibility. Many thanks for your help Lucinda Vaughan Lavender cottage, cold harbour, Goring Heath, Reading RG8 7SY
