Poor drainage/ blocked drain
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 09:39, Tue 24 September 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
There has been heavy rain which has resulted in a large flood outside our houses. I don't think the drains have been cleared here in a while. There is farm traffic around here and the mud acumulates. Earier this year I took a shovel, cut away and removed all the accumulated mud off the road at the kerb beneath the trees you can see in the photos, which is now underwater. So it would have been worse if I had not done that but there appears to be a more serious drainage problem here that needs attention before winter sets in and this happens more regularly.
Thanks

10 mins of thunderstorm rain just now results in this! I checked the drain the other day when the flood had gone and lioks like it is full of mud up to nearly the top of the drain. Please let us know when is it going to be cleaned out? Thanks

Why has this been marked as fixed at 10.48am? Highways agency were still here trying to fix it when I walked past at 11.40am. I spoke to the guys working on the problem who told me that there is something solid blocking the drain near the inspection chamber outside Mulberry house.
