Street light not working
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 13:38, Sun 22 September 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
Yet again I have to report that the street light at the top of the steps near the bus stop (A4074 lay by) is not working. I have reported this on at least two other occasions. The last time I reported it was in July 2019 when I was advised that they were ordering a new battery pack for it so I am not sure if it has worked properly since my last report.

Sorry to hear of this report, unfortunately we had a lot of issues regarding replacement batteries for the solar units, they get ordered in from the manufacturer in Denmark. I can say that we now have these and are looking at the logistical side of a better way to get theses installed. Sorry again for all of this inconvenience, the order has been raised and we hope its implemented very soon

Many thanks for the report and sorry that this light has failed. Unfortunately as this is solar and technology we have no policy for only trial equipement we need special contractors to look at we have had issues with rectifying. We are awaiting a software programme to manually assess the issues is laptop. In worst case we may need to replace completely. Sorry for the incovenience with these, as there is no LV service in the area, solar is our only option and without full detail we are working with what resources we have to sort this issue. We have our contractors replacing the component again in the next week

We believe this issue was addressed but due to a technical error it hasn't been updated on FixMyStreet. We now consider it fixed, but if the issue still exists please let us know by creating a new report on FixMyStreet: https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/
