Impossible for pedestrians to cross
Reported via Android in the Traffic Lights (permanent only) category anonymously at 22:54, Fri 20 September 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
It takes 7 1/2 minutes to cross half way across the roundabout, even if the lights are red for the cars. The crossing lights for pedestrians should be green whenever the cars are stopped.
Thank you for recently contacting Oxfordshire County Council regarding the Graven Hill traffic signal junction. The operation of the signals is due to be reviewed and pedestrian wait times at the junction is one of the items we will try and improve, in particularly those across the stop lines for vehicles entering the junction.

The operation of the signals has been reviewed and can confirm there are planned changes to help reduce pedestrian wait times at the junction. These changes will require a new version of the controller configuration which is currently being worked on. Once this has been tested and we are happy with the amendments, the new configuration will be implemented onsite and tested.

A new version of the controller configuration has been installed onsite to help with the issue raised. You should now see an improvement in pedestrian wait times. The operation of the junction will be monitored to check the effect of these changes as traffic volumes return to normal.
