Dangerous lane issue

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:43, Friday 20 September 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

This road splits into two lanes to meet the roundabout. There appears to be confusion as to which lane drivers should be in to go straight over. Some go in the left lane, others in the right. This had led to many near-collisions as two drivers go over side by side and then converge going into the B4015. Better lane arrows required at the junction showing either Left, Straight on, or right.

Council ref: ENQ19843013

  • Thank you for your report. Arrows have never been installed in this location, this is due to the variations of exits and the size of the roundabout that can be performed in either lane. If you are unsure on the highway code in relation to roundabouts then you can read the information on it at www.highwaycodeuk.co.uk/roundabouts
