Request removal of the 50mph sign

Reported via iOS in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 16:24, Wednesday 18 September 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

A number of years ago, a lot of work was put in by members of the parish council and other volunteers on how to reduce the occurance of speeding in our village.

A number of signs were removed, Road markings adjusted, village gates installed, all combined together helping to reduce some of the speeding through the village.

After this a 50mph Sign was positioned just outside the village boundary, on the Wallingford road, heading towards North Stoke.

Anecdotally, villagers have been reporting that since the sign has been there drivers can see it whilst still within the village boundary, and as such South Stoke Parish Council request if it could be investigated / approved for this 50mph sign either be moved much further down the road, or be removed, to help reduce the occurance of speeding along the stop of houses outside 9-1 Wallingford Road
