Surface water drains on Blackthorn road full of silt and dirt.
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:08, Tue 17 September 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The road drainage grates are full or dirt and blocked, meaning that when the rains come (soon) the surface water will not be drained and pedestrians will be soaked by the action of passing vehicles. Moreover I am not convinced that and earlier reported problem concerning the “Rodding/clearance/repair” of the main drainage channel into which these grates feed has ever been addressed fully.

Thank you for reporting this issue. The gully issue/blockage will be included in our forthcoming gully cleansing programme. As there are limited budget we have to prioritise high flood risk areas. We will continue to monitor this on our routine inspections. Regards

Thanks but I do no think you have read the full complaint and as a result do not appreciate the severity of the problem. You can clean the road gulleys as many times as you like but it will have no effect if the drainage pipe into which those gulleys feed is not repaired or cleaned. Please advise how you propose to deal with that problem.
