Overgrown tree affecting street light and power cables.
Reported in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 09:59, Tue 17 September 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The picture shows a hugely overgrown tree almost totally covering the street light such that the street light is no longer effective. Also the branches are interfering with the overhead power cables giving potential for likely power interruption.

Thank you for your enquiry. OCC’s contractors are qualified to carry out tree works adjacent to the highway. Tree works adjacent to powerlines is a hugely complicated specialism and as such is solely carried out by the designated network operator (power supplier) for the area. Please contact SSEN on: 0800 048 3516 to further your enquiry.
Many thanks for your enquiry

Not fixed as at 4th December. SSEN turned up about two weeks ago with full tree cutting equipment but realised they needed road closure permission.
So work was abandoned and nothing since then.

SSEN still not cut back the tree under their reference FR3082.
I had a call today from SSEN - its a real joke!
1) From the first phone call I had a visit from an operative who came to assess the situation; he concluded that the tree needed to be cut back, and the FR3082 reference was born. During his visit he confirmed that the cutting would need road closure.
2)Come November, the tree cutting team turned up; two vehicles with all equipment and rising platforms.. Operatives stood around assessing and decided that to cut the tree they would need road closure. DOH!
3)Today, 18th December, received a call to say that someone from SSEN would come to inspect the tree this weekend now the leaves have dropped!! Its an evergreen tree as can be seen from the picture! DOH.
What a waste of time and OUR money for this debacle. Lets see what happens next..

Tree still on two counts.
1)Branches are covering and interfering with power lines.
2)Branches are covering and obscuring the street light.
WHEN WILL THIS BE SORTED???
