Double yellow lines painted back shorter after work done
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 11:27, Tue 3 September 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
The reduction in length of these yellow lines from the junction of Croft Villas / Croft road makes it impossible to exit Croft villas safely. Cars or cyclists coming from the right when exiting Croft villas cannot be seen at all. In addition the lack of any gaps in onroad parking down croft road means there are often no pulling in spaces for oncoming traffic if a car from croft villas tries to turn right onto Croft Road, so the only option is to reverse back into croft villas, usually several times before you can successfully turn right, this lack of visibility and lack of pulling in gaps on Croft road is likely to cause an accident.

Thank you for your report. We have investigated this and found that there is a 'Limited Waiting Restriction' (Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm) In relation to extending the line this is not something that we could implement at this moment in time. This requires the implementation of a ‘Traffic Regulation Order’, this involves a long and expensive legal process including public consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council do not currently have the available funding for such a scheme.
We would suggest that an initial approach is made to your Parish Council so that due consideration can be given towards its priority within the local area and so that the proposal can be endorsed and promoted locally. Parish Councils are also well placed to secure the necessary financial cost to such a scheme.
