Thames Water drain covers outside 34 Aylesbury Road making loud noise as cars drive over them.

Reported in the Manhole category anonymously at 08:49, Sunday 25 August 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The drain covers were replaced on 11th of July and not fitted properly so were causing a very loud noise every time a car drove over them. This problem persisted and after a couple of weeks they deadened the noise a little with tarmac and said they could only fix it properly on the 1st of August. They came and fixed it on the first of August and it was OK that night. I've now returned after a holiday and the problem is back. They are using a different style of drain cover to those there before - maybe these are not suitable for this location.
