Sinking manhole and potholes on Sinclair Avenue

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:17, Sunday 18 August 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

In January I reported potholes and cracks along the road, I was advised they didn’t meet the requirements for repair yet in July repairs were carried out? There are still a few potholes which were ignored, not sure why? Repairs were carried out surrounding a manhole which is now sinking, it’s located roughly outside 12 Sinclair Avenue.

  • Thank you for your report. The repairs completed in this location were completed as part of programmed works under minor patching. These works differ from the intervention levels that a Highway Officer adheres to when looking at intervention criteria for pot holes when reported. The manhole cover outside number 12 is not loose or rocking and is not currently at a level in which we would raise repairs. The cover does slope slightly, which is inkeeping with the road surface, which slopes in this location also.
